Description

These Oreo Cake Balls are a simple and delicious no-bake dessert! Made with crushed Oreos, cream cheese, and chocolate, these bite-sized treats are creamy on the inside, coated with a smooth chocolate shell, and perfect for any occasion. Customize them with sprinkles or chocolate drizzles for a festive touch!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 36 Oreo cookies (about 1 package), finely crushed
  • 8 ounces (225g) cream cheese, softened
  • 12 ounces (340g) semi-sweet or white chocolate, melted

Optional Toppings:

  • Crushed Oreos
  • Sprinkles
  • Drizzled melted chocolate

Instructions

Step 1: Crush the Oreos

  1. Place the Oreo cookies in a food processor and pulse until they form fine crumbs.
  2. Alternatively, place Oreos in a ziplock bag and crush them with a rolling pin.

Step 2: Mix with Cream Cheese

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the Oreo crumbs with softened cream cheese.
  2. Mix until smooth and well combined.

Step 3: Shape the Cake Balls

  1. Scoop about 1 tablespoon of the mixture and roll it into a ball.
  2. Place on a parchment-lined baking sheet and freeze for 15-20 minutes.

Step 4: Melt the Chocolate

  1. Melt the chocolate in the microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring between each, until smooth.
  2. Alternatively, melt in a double boiler.

Step 5: Coat the Oreo Balls

  1. Dip each Oreo ball into the melted chocolate, using a fork or toothpick.
  2. Tap off excess chocolate and place the coated ball back on the parchment-lined sheet.

Step 6: Decorate and Set

  1. Garnish with crushed Oreos, sprinkles, or drizzled chocolate.
  2. Let the balls set at room temperature or refrigerate for 15-20 minutes until firm.

Notes

  • For smoother melted chocolate, add ½ teaspoon of coconut oil.
  • Work in batches to keep some balls in the freezer while coating others.
