This Honey Butter Sweet Alabama Pecan Bread is a rich, moist, and nutty Southern treat. Packed with crunchy pecans and warm cinnamon, it’s the perfect comfort food for breakfast, brunch, or dessert. Topped with a honey butter glaze, every bite is irresistibly delicious!

Ingredients

🔹 For the Bread:

  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup vegetable oil
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ cup buttermilk
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 ½ cups chopped pecans

🔹 For the Honey Butter Glaze (Optional):

 

  • ¼ cup butter, melted
  • ¼ cup honey
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

1️⃣ Preheat and Prepare:

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Grease and lightly flour a 9×5-inch loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.

2️⃣ Mix Wet Ingredients:

  • In a large bowl, whisk together granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vegetable oil.
  • Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  • Stir in vanilla extract and buttermilk until smooth.

3️⃣ Combine Dry Ingredients:

  • In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
  • Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring just until combined.
  • Fold in chopped pecans.

4️⃣ Bake:

  • Pour batter into the prepared loaf pan and spread evenly.
  • Bake for 50-55 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  • Let cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.

5️⃣ Prepare Honey Butter Glaze (Optional):

  • In a small bowl, whisk together melted butter, honey, and vanilla extract.
  • Brush warm glaze over the cooled bread for extra flavor.

Notes
