These Mummy Brownies are spooky, fudgy, and ridiculously fun to make for Halloween. With rich chocolate flavor and white chocolate “bandages,” they’re the perfect Halloween treats brownies for parties, Friday the 13th movie nights, or creepy desserts for kids and adults alike.

Ingredients

For the Brownies:

  • ½ cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ⅓ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon baking powder

For the Mummy Decoration:

  • ½ cup white chocolate chips or candy melts
  • 1 teaspoon coconut oil (optional, for easier melting)
  • Candy eyeballs

Optional Add-ins:

  • Chopped walnuts
  • Mini chocolate chips
  • Peanut butter or caramel swirls

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8×8-inch pan with parchment paper or grease it.
  2. Make Brownie Batter: In a bowl, mix melted butter and sugar. Add eggs and vanilla. Stir in cocoa, flour, salt, and baking powder until combined.
  3. Bake: Spread batter in the pan and bake for 20–25 minutes. A toothpick should come out with moist crumbs. Let cool completely.
  4. Cut Into Squares: Once cooled, remove from pan and cut into 9 or 12 brownies.
  5. Melt Chocolate: Microwave white chocolate and coconut oil in short bursts until smooth.
  6. Decorate: Drizzle chocolate in zigzags to create mummy bandages. Place candy eyes near the top of each brownie.
  7. Set: Let decorations set at room temperature or chill briefly to harden.

Notes

  • Use a boxed mix if you’re short on time—just don’t skip the decorations!
  • Try piping bags for neater mummy drizzle lines.
  • Let brownies cool fully before decorating.
  • Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days or refrigerate for 1 week.
  • Freeze undecorated brownies up to 3 months; decorate after thawing.
