These Halloween Spiderweb Baked Donuts are moist, chocolaty, and decorated with spooky white chocolate spiderwebs. Made with chocolate Greek yogurt, they’re baked—not fried—for a lighter twist on delicious Halloween treats that are fun, festive, and perfect for parties or brunch.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • ¼ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • ½ teaspoon baking powder
  • ¼ teaspoon baking soda
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 1 large egg
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup chocolate Greek yogurt
  • ¼ cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ⅓ cup white chocolate chips (or white candy melts, for spiderwebs)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven: Set oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a donut pan.
  2. Mix dry ingredients: In a medium bowl, whisk flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. Whisk wet ingredients: In another bowl, beat egg and sugar until light. Add yogurt, milk, oil, and vanilla. Mix until smooth.
  4. Combine: Add dry mixture to wet and stir gently until just combined.
  5. Fill pan: Spoon batter into a piping bag and pipe into donut pan, filling each about ¾ full.
  6. Bake: Bake 10–12 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool 5 minutes, then transfer to a rack.
  7. Decorate: Melt white chocolate in 15-second intervals until smooth. Pipe spiderwebs over cooled donuts.

Notes

  • Let donuts cool completely before decorating or the icing will melt.
  • Use a squeeze bottle for easier web designs.
  • Swap all-purpose flour with a 1:1 gluten-free blend for GF desserts.
  • Add edible eyes or mini spiders for extra spooky flair.
