Halloween Mummy Rice Krispie Treats are the perfect spooky snack—easy to make, fun to decorate, and sure to be a hit with both kids and adults. No baking required, and ready in just 15 minutes!

Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cups mini marshmallows
  • 6 cups Rice Krispies cereal
  • 10 oz white candy melts or white chocolate chips
  • Candy eyeballs (large or small)
  • Non-stick spray or butter (for handling)
  • Optional: food coloring, Halloween sprinkles, edible glitter, chocolate chips or Nutella for drizzle

Instructions

  1. Melt marshmallows: In a large saucepan, melt butter over low heat. Add mini marshmallows and stir until smooth and melted. Remove from heat.
  2. Add cereal: Quickly stir in the Rice Krispies cereal until well coated.
  3. Press and cool: Press the mixture into a parchment-lined 9×13-inch pan. Let cool at room temperature for 15–20 minutes.
  4. Cut: Slice into 12 rectangles or squares to form the mummy “bodies.”
  5. Decorate: Melt candy melts in the microwave in 30-second intervals until smooth. Drizzle over bars using a piping bag or zip-top bag to mimic mummy bandages.
  6. Add eyes: Before the drizzle sets, press candy eyeballs onto each treat. Let the chocolate set completely.

Notes

  • Make ahead: Store in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
  • Refrigerate if warm: Keep chilled if your kitchen is hot to maintain shape.
  • Get creative: Try adding peanut butter, chocolate, or pumpkin spice for flavor twists.
  • Use parchment paper: Helps for easy removal and less sticking.
  • For bake sales: Wrap individually with ribbon or labels for gifting or selling.
