Ingredients

    • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
    • 2 tablespoons olive oil
    • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
    • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
    • Salt and black pepper to taste
    • Juice of 1/2 lemon

For the creamy garlic sauce:

    • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
    • 4 garlic cloves, minced
    • 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
    • 1 cup milk or half-and-half
    • 1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese
    • Salt and pepper to taste
    • Optional: pinch of crushed red pepper flakes

For the sautéed broccoli:

  • 2 cups fresh broccoli florets
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 garlic clove, thinly sliced
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Pat chicken dry and place in a bowl. Toss with olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, salt, pepper, and lemon juice. Let marinate for 15 minutes or up to 4 hours.
  2. Preheat grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. Grill chicken 6–7 minutes per side until internal temperature reaches 165°F. Rest under foil.
  3. In a saucepan, melt butter. Add minced garlic and cook for 1 minute. Stir in flour and cook 1 more minute. Gradually whisk in milk and simmer until thickened. Stir in Parmesan, salt, pepper, and optional red pepper flakes. Remove from heat.
  4. In a skillet, heat olive oil. Sauté sliced garlic 30 seconds, then add broccoli and a pinch of salt. Cook 4–5 minutes, stirring until tender-crisp.
  5. Plate grilled chicken and drizzle with garlic sauce. Serve with sautéed broccoli on the side. Garnish with extra Parmesan or parsley if desired.

Notes

  • Pound chicken evenly for consistent grilling.
  • Let chicken rest after grilling for maximum juiciness.
  • Use fresh garlic and freshly grated Parmesan for the best flavor.
  • The garlic sauce also works well with pasta, mashed potatoes, or veggies.
  • Store sauce separately and reheat with a splash of milk to maintain creaminess.
