  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder

For the Garlic Parmesan Sauce:

  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ cup (120ml) heavy cream
  • ½ cup (50g) grated Parmesan cheese
  • ½ teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • ½ teaspoon paprika (optional, for extra flavor)
  • 1 cup fresh spinach leaves (optional, for added nutrients)

Optional Garnish:

  • Chopped fresh parsley or basil
  • Extra Parmesan cheese

Instructions

Step 1: Season the Pork Chops

  1. Pat the pork chops dry with paper towels.
  2. Season both sides with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder.

Step 2: Sear the Pork Chops

  1. Heat olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the pork chops and sear for 4-5 minutes per side, or until golden brown.
  3. Remove the pork chops from the skillet and set aside.

Step 3: Make the Garlic Parmesan Sauce

  1. In the same skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat.
  2. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds, until fragrant.
  3. Pour in the heavy cream and stir in the Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, and paprika.
  4. Let the sauce simmer for 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally, until slightly thickened.

Step 4: Add Spinach (Optional)

  1. Stir in the fresh spinach leaves, if using, and let them wilt for 1 minute.

Step 5: Combine & Serve

  1. Return the pork chops to the skillet, spooning the sauce over the top.
  2. Let the pork chops simmer in the sauce for 2-3 minutes, until fully cooked and coated.
  3. Serve warm, garnished with chopped parsley or basil and extra Parmesan cheese.

Notes

  • For bone-in pork chops, increase the cooking time slightly and ensure the internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C).
  • Add mushrooms or sun-dried tomatoes to the sauce for extra flavor.
  • For a lighter version, substitute heavy cream with half-and-half.
