This Garlic Flat Bread is quick, easy, and irresistibly flavorful with a crispy exterior and soft, chewy center. Brushed with garlic butter and sprinkled with fresh parsley, it’s the perfect side for soups, dips, or as a standalone snack. Ready in under 20 minutes!
For the Flatbread:
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
½ teaspoon salt
⅓ cup water
2 tablespoons plain yogurt
1 tablespoon oil (for dough)
Butter (for frying and brushing)
1-2 garlic cloves, minced
Optional:
Chopped parsley for garnish
In a mixing bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt.
Add water, yogurt, and oil; stir until dough forms. Knead for 1–2 minutes until smooth.
Divide dough into 4 balls, then roll each into a 6-inch round.
Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add a small amount of butter or oil.
Fry each flatbread for 1–2 minutes per side until puffed and golden brown.
While the flatbread cooks, melt butter and sauté garlic until fragrant.
Brush garlic butter generously on the hot flatbreads and sprinkle with parsley.
Serve warm and enjoy!
Use full-fat yogurt for the best texture.
Don’t over-knead the dough to keep the bread tender.
Keep the pan hot for golden brown spots and bubbles.
Brush garlic butter immediately after frying so it soaks in.
