Ingredients

For the Flatbread:

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour

  • 1 teaspoon baking powder

  • ½ teaspoon salt

  • ⅓ cup water

  • 2 tablespoons plain yogurt

  • 1 tablespoon oil (for dough)

  • Butter (for frying and brushing)

  • 1-2 garlic cloves, minced

Optional:

  • Chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions

  • In a mixing bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt.

  • Add water, yogurt, and oil; stir until dough forms. Knead for 1–2 minutes until smooth.

  • Divide dough into 4 balls, then roll each into a 6-inch round.

  • Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add a small amount of butter or oil.

  • Fry each flatbread for 1–2 minutes per side until puffed and golden brown.

  • While the flatbread cooks, melt butter and sauté garlic until fragrant.

  • Brush garlic butter generously on the hot flatbreads and sprinkle with parsley.

  • Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

Use full-fat yogurt for the best texture.

Don’t over-knead the dough to keep the bread tender.

Keep the pan hot for golden brown spots and bubbles.

Brush garlic butter immediately after frying so it soaks in.
