Ingredients

For the Sliders:
  • 12 slider buns (Hawaiian rolls or soft dinner rolls)
  • ¾ pound (340g) deli-style roast beef, thinly sliced
  • 6 slices Swiss or provolone cheese, cut in half
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
For the Au Jus Dipping Sauce:
  • 1 cup (240ml) beef broth
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch (optional, for thickening)

Instructions

Step 1: Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.

Step 2: Assemble the Sliders
  1. Slice the slider buns in half, keeping them connected as a sheet if possible.
  2. Place the bottom halves of the buns in the prepared baking dish.
  3. Layer with half of the cheese slices, then the roast beef, and finally the remaining cheese.
  4. Place the top halves of the buns over the filling.
Step 3: Make the Butter Topping
  1. In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, Dijon mustard, parsley, salt, and black pepper.
  2. Brush the butter mixture evenly over the top of the sliders.
Step 4: Bake the Sliders
  1. Cover the dish with foil and bake for 15 minutes.
  2. Remove the foil and bake for another 5-7 minutes, until the tops are golden brown and the cheese is melted.
Step 5: Prepare the Au Jus Dipping Sauce
  1. In a small saucepan, combine beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper.
  2. Bring to a simmer over medium heat and let cook for 3-4 minutes.
  3. If desired, mix 1 teaspoon cornstarch with 1 tablespoon water and stir it into the sauce to thicken.
  4. Remove from heat and transfer to small bowls for dipping.
Step 6: Serve and Enjoy!
  1. Remove sliders from the oven and let them rest for 5 minutes before cutting.
  2. Serve warm with au jus sauce on the side for dipping.

Notes

  • Use Soft Buns – Hawaiian rolls or dinner rolls work best for a tender bite.
  • Don’t Overbake – Covering with foil prevents the tops from browning too quickly.
  • Layer the Cheese Properly – Adding cheese on both sides of the roast beef helps hold everything together.
  • Serve Immediately – These sliders taste best fresh and warm.
  • Double the Dipping Sauce – If you love extra au jus, make a larger batch!
