These eyeball Jello shots are spooky, sweet, and perfect for Halloween parties! With red gelatin and creepy gummy eyeballs, they’re a fun and festive treat for all ages.

Ingredients

  • 1 (6-ounce) box of red Jell-O (cherry or strawberry)
  • 2 cups boiling water
  • 2 cups cold water
  • 24 gummy eyeballs or candy eyeballs
  • 24 plastic shot cups (2-ounce size)
  • Whipped cream (optional, for topping)

Instructions

  1. Dissolve the Jello: In a mixing bowl, pour the Jell-O powder. Add 2 cups boiling water and whisk for 2 minutes until completely dissolved.
  2. Add cold water: Stir in 2 cups cold water and mix thoroughly.
  3. Prepare shot cups: Arrange plastic cups on a tray or baking sheet and fill each about 3/4 full with the Jello mixture.
  4. Chill slightly: Refrigerate for 30 minutes, until Jello is slightly thickened.
  5. Insert eyeballs: Gently press a gummy or candy eyeball into the center of each cup.
  6. Chill completely: Return to fridge and chill for 2–3 hours until fully set.
  7. Serve: Top with whipped cream just before serving, if desired. Keep chilled.

Notes

  • Wait until Jello is slightly set before adding eyeballs so they don’t sink.
  • Use green or purple Jello for different spooky themes.
  • Make up to 2 days ahead and store covered in fridge.
  • For an adult version, replace part of the cold water with vodka or rum.
  • Top with red gel icing for extra gore!
