- ½ cup (120ml) water
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- ¾ cup (180ml) Buffalo sauce
- 1 tablespoon melted vegan butter (or regular butter, optional)
Optional Dips and Toppings:
- Ranch or blue cheese dressing
- Chopped green onions
- Celery sticks
Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the Cauliflower
- Wash and dry the cauliflower florets. Cut them into bite-sized pieces.
Step 2: Make the Batter
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, water, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper until smooth.
- Dip each cauliflower floret into the batter, ensuring they are well coated.
Step 3: Preheat the Air Fryer
- Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for 3 minutes.
Step 4: Cook the Cauliflower
- Lightly grease the air fryer basket with cooking spray.
- Arrange the coated cauliflower florets in a single layer in the basket. Avoid overcrowding.
- Air fry for 12-15 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and crispy.
Step 5: Toss in Buffalo Sauce
- In a small bowl, mix the Buffalo sauce with the melted butter (if using).
- Toss the cooked cauliflower florets in the sauce until evenly coated.
Step 6: Serve and Enjoy
- Transfer the Buffalo cauliflower to a serving platter.
- Serve warm with ranch dressing, celery sticks, or your favorite dipping sauce.
Notes
- For extra crispiness, don’t overcrowd the air fryer basket—cook in batches if necessary.
- If you prefer less spice, use a milder sauce or mix Buffalo sauce with honey.
- Frozen cauliflower works too but should be thawed and dried thoroughly before battering.
